Twitch deep links
A ZRO Twitch deep link opens channels and live streams, links on twitch.tv on Android in the Twitch app, on iPhone and Android, even when the tap starts inside another app’s browser.
What a Twitch deep link opens
- Channels and live streams
- Links on twitch.tv on Android
On iPhone, pages other than a channel open on the website.
What happens on each device
- iPhone
- On an iPhone, ZRO opens a channel (twitch.tv/name) in the Twitch app.
- Android
- ZRO opens the Twitch app by its package name, tv.twitch.android.app. If the app is not installed, the visitor gets the website.
- Computer
- There is no app to open, so the visitor gets the Twitch website. The tap is still counted.

This is generated from a sample Twitch address by the same code that handles real taps.

How do I make a Twitch deep link?
Paste any Twitch link into ZRO and share the short link it gives you. When someone taps it on an iPhone or an Android phone, it opens in the Twitch app. On a computer it opens the website.
Does a Twitch deep link work from inside Instagram, TikTok or Facebook?
Yes. ZRO recognises the in-app browser and steps out of it. On an iPhone it opens the Twitch app first and falls back to Safari. On Android it opens the app through its package.
What happens if Twitch is not installed?
The visitor lands on the Twitch website instead of an error. ZRO records the tap, so you can see how many people could not open the app.
