LinkedIn deep links
A ZRO LinkedIn deep link opens profiles, links on linkedin.com and lnkd.in on Android in the LinkedIn app, on iPhone and Android, even when the tap starts inside another app’s browser.
What a LinkedIn deep link opens
- Profiles
- Links on linkedin.com and lnkd.in on Android
On iPhone, pages other than profiles open on the website.
What happens on each device
- iPhone
- On an iPhone, ZRO opens profiles (linkedin.com/in/…) in the LinkedIn app.
- Android
- ZRO opens the LinkedIn app by its package name, com.linkedin.android. If the app is not installed, the visitor gets the website.
- Computer
- There is no app to open, so the visitor gets the LinkedIn website. The tap is still counted.
The LinkedIn deep link ZRO builds
This is generated from a sample LinkedIn address by the same code that handles real taps.

How do I make a LinkedIn deep link?
Paste any LinkedIn link into ZRO and share the short link it gives you. When someone taps it on an iPhone or an Android phone, it opens in the LinkedIn app. On a computer it opens the website.
Does a LinkedIn deep link work from inside Instagram, TikTok or Facebook?
Yes. ZRO recognises the in-app browser and steps out of it. On an iPhone it opens the LinkedIn app first and falls back to Safari. On Android it opens the app through its package.
What happens if LinkedIn is not installed?
The visitor lands on the LinkedIn website instead of an error. ZRO records the tap, so you can see how many people could not open the app.
What can a LinkedIn deep link open?
Profiles, Links on linkedin.com and lnkd.in on Android. On iPhone, pages other than profiles open on the website.
Can I see how many people opened the LinkedIn app?
Yes. Your dashboard shows Yield, the share of taps on phones that ended with the app open, along with where each tap came from and which outcome it had.
